Museum of Power Visit

The five of us went to the Museum, a little apprehensive I may add about what we might find, thinking maybe this was some little dingy museum in the backstreets of Maldon, however on arrival, we were pleasently greeted by large surroundings and a lot of ground, this made it look slightly more interesting than what i had imagined arriving to previously. On entering the museum, we waited in the entrance to be met by a man who allowed us to roam around the museum at our pleasure, free of charge of course, which we were greatful for. We looked around pretty much everything, pressing buttons and looking over what things were, myself personally a bit surprised at the amount of equipment contained within the museum, but it was pretty interesting to see it all. Anyhow onto choosing our item to model for the assignment, we were all pretty much unanimous in deciding which one.

We decided to model the Horizontal Compound Steam Engine produced in 1892 because we wanted to choose something to challenge our abilities and also because there was 5 of us, we think the standard of our work should be a bit higher than the other groups.
